Hi there! Welcome to my site and thanks for dropping by!
My name is Megan Mills.
I am the author and illustrator of the books, Meggoline: A Girl and Her Nanny (Adventures, Transitions, & Goodbyes) and Families, Families Everywhere. I am passionate about creating… I especially love drawing, painting, pottery, sewing, and collage. I am a daughter, sister, and former nanny. I care deeply about children, education, personal development, empathy, and mental health. I love books, alone time, hot beverages, and beer. My favorite genres tend to be dystopian fiction, personal growth, and graphic novels but I will read just about anything! (Unless it is super gore-filled… I can’t really handle that.) I am basically a vegetarian, though I do eat white meat on occasion. I am a graduate of the architecture program at Virginia Tech (go Hokies!) and continued living in Blacksburg, Virginia for a few years after college. I currently live in Annapolis, Maryland. I type as an INFJ in the Myer’s Briggs system and a 4-social in the Enneagram.
I am still trying to figure stuff out… what I am doing with my life, who I am, what I believe, what it means to be human… In the meantime, I hope to blog about some of my creative pursuits here!
Additionally, I have another blog called AbstractRelationsVI that kind of reflects my darker side. I have struggled with depression for most of my life (and/or maybe bipolar II?) and tend to find that while half of my artwork/creations are light and happy, half tend to be a bit darker. Feel free to check that one out if it sounds interesting to you. It’s a bit of a rabbit hole though… You have been warned.
